Hi there, welcome to my practice!
I am a Psychiatrist Board Certified in Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry with over a decade of clinical experience. I treat people from all walks of life with central goal of helping my patients achieve optimal mental health and empower them to make choices that work best for them.
Yoga, spiritual practice and Ayurvedic practices are a big part of my life, and I love incorporating those aspects into my treatment plans for patients who are open to it. I also love reading books! I am always recommending good reads to my patients who share my love for literature.
Before I came to the US, I spent a few years working as a medical officer in the Indian Army and I have a lot of experience treating trauma and addiction.
I am particularly passionate about treating trauma, PTSD, addiction and I am invested in Women’s mental health.
I also enjoy providing holistic care for patients from diverse backgrounds and helping parents who have kids with special needs. Parenting is tough when your kids have special needs, more so if they are twice exceptional. It gets even trickier when you are an immigrant straddling two cultures. I absolutely LOVE helping parents find their way through these challenges. It's like finding the secret recipe to make the kids flourish – mixing warmth and structure just right. Seeing those little ones thrive just lights me up!
Above all, what matters most to me is giving my patients that special touch of warm, collaborative, and holistic care. I integrate medications, supplements, labs, lifestyle changes, psychotherapeutic approaches like CBT, EMDR, and mindfulness and mindful self-compassion to provide culturally sensitive care.
